OIT provides software and hardware troubleshooting and support with student devices. Students must provide all hardware and software required for repairs if OIT does not house the materials or have easy access to them, but support is free for all current Grace College students.
Students typically arrive with a description of a problem. If it can be solved easily on the spot, no further work is required. If the problem requires an in-depth look, the student must fill out a form with information and sign consent for OIT's technicians to work on the issue. A work order is then created for a technician to investigate the issue.
Students also are allowed to borrow adapters for connecting to classroom projectors. OIT keeps a stock of minidisplayport-to-HDMI and VGA on hand, along with a few other miscellaneous adapters, which it hands out. All students borrowing an adapter must have their personal information recorded (along with the adapter number they're borrowing) to ensure it is returned or charged to them if lost.
